The White River system was dammed throughout the 1960’s forming several reservoirs, including Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains. The lake spans 50 miles long and over 30,000 acres in size. Most locals will claim Beaver is split into two sections by the 112 bridge in Rogers. The south section is characterized by traditionally dirtier water and tight channel swings and creek arms, while the north section showcases clearer deep water with wide open areas and long creek arms. Most species in the lake can be found in both sections, but population densities will change based on the season and water conditions. Beaver Lake is a sight to behold and a cherished body of water by the entire Northwest Arkansas community!
